Special birthday invites....

October 14, 2018

Back in August I was asked to design some birthday invitations for a sweet little girl turning one.
I used the pastel tones of Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and Highland Heather from the Subtles range of DSP, for the punched out balloons and the bottom layer.... and coordinating card stock for the number 1.
The "Party Time" comes from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" stamp set and the small stamped heart comes from the "Pick a Pennant" stamp set. I was extremely grateful for owning the wonderful "Stamparatus" when stamping all those hearts, let me tell you.

I also made her a birthday card and sent it off just last week. The cute elephant image from the stamp set  "Little Elephant"  would have been great to create the invitations with of course, but at the time I didn't own it.  The colours I used for the banners from the stamp set  "Pick a Pennant" were Blushing Bride and Lemon Lime Twist with Smoky Grey for the Elephant. A little Lemon Lime Twist bow finished it off.

Unfortunately the Number Dies have been discontinued from Stampin' Up! but they remain in my personal collection for times such as this.

I enjoyed making these cute projects for a very cute little girl, and today, on this cold wintery/autumn day I'm back at my craft table again....

Until next time, happy stampin'
